Earlier today, Blizzard announced the sale of the BlizzCon 2015 Virtual Ticket. Tickets to the big event are sold out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t attend in spirit – and online! You can purchase the Virtual Ticket in the Battle.net Shop for $39.99 USD.
What Do I Get?
Great question! The Virtual Ticket includes live online HD coverage of both days of the event via two channels of content to include: developer panels, in-depth interviews, community contests, the closing ceremony, and more. You’ll be able to access the content for up to two weeks after the event so you can catch up on everything!
As in past years, purchasing the Virtual Ticket unlocks in-game goodies for various games like pets, portaits, and more. But this year, for the first time ever, Blizzard is offering the in-person, Blizzcon-only goody bags usually reserved for ticket holders at the event! And keep an eye out for the limited-time BlizzCon merch sale from October 16 – November 8 – the Virtual Ticket grants access to this as well.
Sweet, how do I get the goody bag?!
I can’t make it to BlizzCon in person this year, so I am all over this goody bag thing.
Once you’ve purchased your Virtual Ticket, you Battle.net account will be flagged to be able to pre-purchase the goody bag through the Gear Store. Be quick though as supplies are limited and I imagine these will sell out.
Well I don’t care about the Virtual Ticket, can I get anything for free?
Yep! You can still catch coverage of the BlizzCon opening ceremony and this year’s eSports tournaments on blizzcon.com.
